Dear Colleagues,
Living Wage Foundation
The living wage foundation was established in 2011 and is an organisation that recognizes employers who chose to pay a wage that is set more in line with the cost of living rather than the national minimum wage.
Over the years UNISON have continued campaigning for better pay and following negotiations with UNISON, EMAS signed up to the living wage Foundation in 2015.
In 2023 the living wage foundation has set a rate of £12 per hour outside London. UNISON are pleased to inform members that we have received assurances that EMAS remain committed to the agreement of 2015 and will be paying their staff a minimum of £12 per hour from the 1st of November 2023 in line with the rate set by the living wage foundation.
In this time of cost of living rises I’m sure our members and others working within EMAS will welcome this wage increase.
kind regards
Stuart Hallowes
